OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

WILL NOT TURN ON

If an electric stove does not ignite, be sure the stove is plugged in and if all circuit breakers are switched on. You should check the pilot light for gas appliances. If the stove power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is burning in the oven, it means another part of the oven will need to be replaced. The cause of the issue could be the surface element, infinite switch, igniter or bake and broil element.

BURNER WON’T HEAT

A burner or stove or oven that doesn’t produce heat does not do much good. An oven does not heat if there is a broken oven sensor or a malfunctioning bake element. A burner does not heat when an element is broken or when the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We are able to troubleshoot and repair these common problems in no more than 1-2 hours after our arrival.

TIMER ISSUES

It is reasonable to assume the control panel on a stove or oven is broken if the program or timer settings don’t work. In this case, we are able to replace control boards for GE, LG, Sears, KitchenAid, Kenmore and several other brands and models of ovens, ranges and stoves. We offer a warranty on all of the control boards and parts we install for this stove repair service.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

You want a hot oven. Although not too hot! When the heat is out of control, it could be due to a broken thermostat or sensor. Our technicians know how to find the reason for the problem and fix it. Just be careful when troubleshooting this problem for fear of skin burns from the very high and unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A common stove issue is when an igniter glows but does not light. The cause is sometimes from either a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We are able to determine whether we can fix these appliance parts or if we have to replace the parts.

DOOR WILL NOT OPEN

New self-cleaning types of ovens are known to have door problems often. The door won’t open after the cleaning cycle. We monitor the door closure, seal and thermostat to find out why the door won’t open and then complete the repair in order to fix the issue.
